Roetzer joins newly formed Community Relations Committee
CLEVELAND — May 12, 2010 — Paul Roetzer, founder and president of PR 20/20, has been appointed to a two-year term as an independent member of the Northern Ohio PGA’s Board of Directors. Roetzer, the first non-PGA member in the Board’s history, serves on the Community Relations Committee with PGA professionals Jimmy Hanlin and Joe Flogge.
The Community Relations Committee, created by new Board president, Chad Seymour, is designed to better connect the Section’s sponsors and more than 370 professionals with area amateurs, and help grow the game. The Committee’s initial focus is to establish a social media strategy for the Section, including a blog that will feature tips and insight for amateurs from area PGA professionals.
Roetzer and PR 20/20 have worked closely with Section executive director Dominic Antenucci and his staff since 2005 on sponsorship programs, as well as public relations and marketing support for the Minute Men Ohio Open Championship, Michelob Ultra/Bridgestone Golf Ohio Senior Open, Ohio Cup, junior golf series and The PGA’s Play Golf America initiative.
In addition, PR 20/20 has partnered with The PGA of America on major events in the Northern Ohio PGA Section, including the Westfield Junior PGA Championship — hosted and sponsored by Westfield Insurance from 2001 to 2007 — and the 2009 Senior PGA Championship at Canterbury Golf Club.
